Tracheal crusting: A rare but fatal complication of Endotracheal Intubation

Endotracheal intubation is an intervention frequently performed in the hospital setting order to protect central airway and provide mechanical support for ventilation. The complications of endotracheal tube include tracheitis, tracheal stenosis, tracheomalacia, granuloma formation. Tracheal crusting following tracheitis a very rare but fatal complication especially children. should be kept mind as differential weaning failure. Several cases stenosis after extubation have been reported. However, best our knowledge, there are no obstructive children current literature. Here, we present case 1-year-old girl who developed result intubation.
